Agreement and Payment Information

Due to many recent cancellations, date changes, and late payments, these deadlines and agreements simply must be met. Without a retainer/deposit payment (full payment in the case of a portrait or engagement session), I cannot confirm the booking, and the date will remain available until the deposit or payment is received.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding :)

-A retainer of $200 for weddings (this amount is then deducted from the total $750 fee), and full payment for portrait/engagement shoots must be paid within 1 week of booking a date.

-Any and all wedding deposits and/or payments are non-refundable.

-Portrait and/or engagement shoot payments are non-refundable. (in case of cancellation due to weather, which must be agreed upon by myself as well as the client, the portraits will be taken on the next available date).

-Full payment for wedding photography is required at least one month before the date of your wedding.

-All fees are payable directly to me, James Cripps, via cash, cheque (no post-dated cheques please) or postal money order. You can also pay online, if you use online banking (Scotiabank, BMO, TD, CIBC or RBC), via Interac Email Money Transfer. Sorry, no credit cards!

-I accept a limited number of travel weddings & events per year. Travel fees apply to all non-local weddings and/or photoshoots at a rate of $0.55/km (this covers return travel expenses plus travel time). Accommodations, if necessary, are extra.

-Additional wedding coverage beyond 8 hours is available at a rate of $75/hour.

-If a client wishes to change the date of a booking at any time after confirming, there will be a $50 fee for portrait sessions and a $200 fee for weddings (hopefully I never have to collect this fee ;)

-Turnaround time from the date of shooting to the time you have the finished photos is approximately two weeks although it is often less.

*(This entails all color-corrections and adjustments. Color, Black and white, sepia, and split-toned images that are specifically and individually adjusted for contrast and overall image quality. Skin softening, teeth whitening, as well as minor blemish removal.)

** I maintain the right to use any image for individual sale, or for the promotion of my photography. This may include posting photos to this website or for my portfolio in print.

***Web-ready images are the original shots, resized to approx 25% of their original size. This leads to a significantly smaller file size, which makes sending them through email, or posting them online, easier and faster.

My prices are subject to change and will increase with demand.

Full-resolution images and unrestricted printing rights means that you can print any photo, at nearly any size (approx. 13 megapixel digital images) as many times as you want, at any photo lab you choose! (for personal use only)
